Michri

Michri is a Benjamite ancestor named once in scripture, embedded in the genealogical roll of returned exiles preserved in 1 Chronicles 9.

A Benjamite Ancestor

He appears as the grandfather of Elah in the list of those who resettled Jerusalem: "and Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah" (1Ch 9:8). No further detail attaches to him; his name surfaces only to anchor Elah's lineage among the Benjamites who returned to dwell in the city.
