Naaran

Naaran is a town on the eastern boundary of Ephraim's territory, named once in the Chronicler's list of the holdings of that tribe.

On the Eastern Edge of Ephraim

The geographical note places Naaran opposite Gezer along the east-west span of Ephraim: "And their possessions and habitations were Beth-el and its towns, and eastward Naaran, and westward Gezer, with its towns; Shechem also and its towns, to Ayyah and its towns;" (1Chr 7:28). The verse fixes its location relative to the other Ephraimite towns and gives no further detail.
