Naggai

Naggai is an ancestor of Jesus listed in Luke's genealogy. Luke 3:25 places him in the line descending toward Joseph: "the [son] of Mattathias, the [son] of Amos, the [son] of Nahum, the [son] of Esli, the [son] of Naggai." UPDV uses the spelling Naggai throughout.

He appears between Esli and Mattathias in the longer Lukan genealogy that traces Jesus' ancestry back through David and ultimately to Adam. No other details about Naggai are recorded in the UPDV text.
