Necklace
The umbrella covers the gold ornament rendered "armlet" in UPDV — a jewel of gold listed alongside brooches, earrings, signet-rings, ankle-chains, and bracelets. It surfaces in two contexts: the willing offering for the tabernacle, and the war-spoil oblation after the campaign against Midian.
Offering for the Tabernacle
When the willing-hearted bring their gold for the sanctuary, the inventory names the same class of ornament. "And the men as well as the women, as many as were willing-hearted, brought brooches, and earrings, and signet-rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to Yahweh" (Ex 35:22). The armlet is grouped with the other personal gold ornaments and is given as part of the freewill offering.
Spoil and Atonement After Midian
After the Midianite campaign the officers of Israel bring an oblation of gold to Yahweh, and the same ornament reappears in the list. "And we have brought Yahweh's oblation, what every man has gotten, of jewels of gold, ankle-chains, and bracelets, signet-rings, earrings, and armlets, to make atonement for our souls before Yahweh" (Nu 31:50). Here the armlet is part of war-spoil dedicated as atonement, not a freewill gift, but the inventory of gold ornaments matches the tabernacle list closely.
