Ocran (UPDV: Ochran) is named only as the father of Pagiel, the prince of Asher in the wilderness. He never acts in his own person; the genealogical clause "Pagiel the son of Ochran" recurs three times across the muster, the camp order, and the marching order in Numbers.

Father of Pagiel, prince of Asher

The first muster list identifies the head of Asher by his patronym: "Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran" (Num 1:13). When the tribes are arranged around the tabernacle, the same phrase places Pagiel at his post: "And those who encamp next to him will be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the sons of Asher will be Pagiel the son of Ochran" (Num 2:27). And when the host moves out, the formula repeats once more: "And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran" (Num 10:26). Across the three notices Ochran himself is never described — he is the genealogical anchor that locates his son Pagiel inside Asher.
