Olympas

People · Updated 2026-05-07

Olympas is one of the Christians at Rome whom Paul greets at the close of his letter. The single mention sets him within a small cluster of believers gathered with others.

A Believer at Rome

Paul's roll of greetings to the church at Rome moves through household groupings. Olympas appears in the final cluster of names, listed alongside others: "Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them" (Ro 16:15).

The verse does not assign Olympas any office or task. He belongs to a circle described as "all the saints who are with them" — one of the small companies of believers Paul honors by name in the closing of Romans.
