Oren

Oren is named once, in the genealogical lists of 1 Chronicles, as one of the sons of Jerahmeel.

Son of Jerahmeel

The Chronicler traces the line of Hezron through Jerahmeel his firstborn, and lists Jerahmeel's sons in order. Oren stands among them: "And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah" (1Ch 2:25).

No narrative attaches to the name. Oren's place in scripture is fixed within this single verse of the Judahite genealogies.
