Ozem
Two men named Ozem appear in 1 Chronicles 2 — both inside the same chapter, in two adjacent genealogies. One is a son of Jesse and a brother of David; the other is a son of Jerahmeel.
The sixth son of Jesse
The first Ozem stands sixth in the list of Jesse's sons, immediately before David: "Ozem the sixth, David the seventh" (1 Chr 2:15). The verse names him by ordinal alone — no acts, no further detail — and uses his place to set up the seventh-position introduction of David.
The Jerahmeelite
The second Ozem appears a few verses later in the line of Jerahmeel: "And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah" (1 Chr 2:25). He is fourth in this list of Jerahmeel's sons.
