Palal
Palal is named once, among the workers who repaired the walls of Jerusalem under Nehemiah.
Son of Uzai, builder of the wall
The repair-list assigns him a specific section near the royal compound: "Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] across from the turning [of the wall], and the tower that stands out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh [repaired]" (Nehemiah 3:25). The bracketed [repaired] is a UPDV speaker-resolution from the verb that governs the chapter's catalogue. His station was a strategic point — a tower above the king's house, near the court of the guard.
