Paruah

Paruah is named once in scripture, identified as the father of one of Solomon's twelve regional officers.

Father of Jehoshaphat

When Solomon's twelve officers over Israel are listed by district, the appointee for Issachar is given by patronymic: "Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar" (1Ki 4:17).
