Perida
Perida is named only as the head of a family among "Solomon's slaves" whose descendants returned from the Babylonian captivity. The Nehemiah list reads: "The sons of Solomon's slaves: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Perida" (Ne 7:57).
The parallel return-roll in Ezra preserves the same name with a slight spelling variant — Peruda for Perida: "The sons of Solomon's slaves: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Hassophereth, the sons of Peruda" (Ezr 2:55). The two notices stand together as the only memory the text keeps of the man.
