Pi-Beseth
Pi-Beseth (UPDV: Pibeseth) is a city of lower Egypt named once, in Ezekiel's oracle of judgment against Egypt.
Prophesied Against by Ezekiel
The city stands in a paired list of Egyptian centers struck under the prophesied sword: "The young men of On and of Pibeseth will fall by the sword; and these [cities] will go into captivity" (Ezek 30:17). Pibeseth is set alongside On, both placed under the same fate — the loss of their young men in battle and captivity for the cities themselves. The bracketed insertion [cities] makes explicit that the captivity falls on the named places, not only on the men.
