Raddai

Raddai is one of the sons of Jesse, named in the Chronicler's genealogy that orders Jesse's children before settling on the youngest, David. He appears only in the list itself.

The Fifth Son of Jesse

Raddai is placed fifth in the enumeration of Jesse's sons: "Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth," (1Ch 2:14). The Chronicler counts off the brothers in numbered order, situating Raddai between Nethanel and the next-named son in the sequence that culminates in David.
