Rechah

Rechah (spelled "Recah" in the UPDV) is a place named once in scripture, identified by association with the line of Eshton in Judah's genealogies.

The Men of Recah

1 Chronicles 4:12 closes a short Judahite cluster with the place-name: "And Eshton begot Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These are the men of Recah." The men of Beth-rapha, Paseah, and the line of Tehinnah are gathered under that single label, with no further geographic detail in the text.
