Rhesa
Rhesa is one of the post-exilic links in Luke's genealogy of Jesus.
An Ancestor in Luke's Genealogy
Rhesa appears in the chain that runs from Zerubbabel forward toward Jesus: "the [son] of Joanan, the [son] of Rhesa, the [son] of Zerubbabel, the [son] of Shealtiel, the [son] of Neri" (Lu 3:27). The bracketed [son] reflects the genitive-only construction of the underlying text — names strung in succession, with Rhesa standing immediately after Zerubbabel in the descending order Luke gives.
