Seled
Seled is a descendant of Jerahmeel listed in the Judahite genealogy of 1 Chronicles, remembered for the closure of his line: "And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without sons" (1Chr 2:30).
A Line That Ended
The genealogy traces the sons of Nadab in two halves. Seled stands first; Appaim continues the line. The notice that Seled "died without sons" is the only thing recorded of him — his place in the record exists precisely to mark a branch of Jerahmeel's house that did not extend.
