Senir is the Amorite name for Mount Hermon, the great northern peak at the southern end of the Anti-Lebanon range, named alongside the Sidonian designation Sirion in Deuteronomy and recurring in the trans-Jordan settlement notices, the Song, and Ezekiel's lament over Tyre.
