Serah
Serah is the daughter of Asher and the only daughter named in the Asherite line. She is distinct from the matriarch Sarah, wife of Abraham. Three notices preserve her — one in the Genesis migration list, one in the wilderness census, and one in the Chronicler's restatement — and in all three she stands beside her four brothers.
Daughter of Asher in the migration to Egypt
When the household of Jacob is enrolled going down to Egypt, the Asherite branch is set out as: "And the sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and their sister Serah; and the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel" (Ge 46:17). She is the only daughter named in the catalogue of Asher.
Named in the wilderness census
The second-generation census of Numbers preserves her by name where most daughters go unnamed: "And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serah" (Nu 26:46). The census is otherwise a roll of clans and counts, and the brief notice singles her out by name alone.
Reaffirmed in the Chronicler's genealogy
The Chronicler repeats the original Genesis arrangement when he reaches Asher: "The sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and Serah their sister" (1Ch 7:30). The order and the relationships match the Genesis list verbatim — four brothers, then Serah named as their sister.
