Shamsherai

Shamsherai appears once, in the Benjamite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 8, set inside a list closed off as "the sons of Jeroham."

Son of Jeroham

The name stands first in the verse and runs into a string of brothers: "and Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah" (1Ch 8:26). The list is rounded off in the next verse — "and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, the sons of Jeroham" (1Ch 8:27) — fixing Jeroham as the father of the whole cluster, Shamsherai included. The text gives no further notice of him beyond his place in the order.
