Shapher
Shapher is a wilderness encampment in the Numbers itinerary — a mountain on the route between Kehelathah and Haradah. UPDV renders the name as "Shepher." The site appears only in the two adjacent verses that bracket the Israelites' arrival and departure.
A Stage in the Wilderness Itinerary
Numbers 33 walks the journey camp by camp, formula by formula, and Shepher is one stop in that chain: "And they journeyed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shepher. And they journeyed from mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah" (Num 33:23-24). The pair of verses is the entire textual record. The mountain serves as a single overnight stage — arrived at from Kehelathah, departed for Haradah — without further description, no event recorded there, and no role beyond its place in the marching-list.
