Shashak

Shashak appears in the Benjaminite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 8, named first as one of the sons of his father's house and then again as the head of his own line.

A Benjaminite

In the listing of Beriah's family Shashak stands among his brothers: "and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth," (1Ch 8:14). A few verses later the genealogy returns to him as a father in his own right: "and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, the sons of Shashak," (1Ch 8:25). The two notices place him within the broader Benjaminite roster of Chronicles, attested only as a name carried forward through one further generation.
