Sheariah

Sheariah is a Benjaminite, listed only as one of the six sons of Azel in two parallel genealogical notices in Chronicles.

Son of Azel

The first listing comes in the Saulide genealogy of 1 Chronicles 8: "And Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel" (1Ch 8:38). The same names recur in the resumption of the genealogy in the next chapter: "And Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel" (1Ch 9:44). Sheariah is fourth in the order each time; nothing else is recorded of him beyond the patronymic.
