Sheber

Sheber appears once in the genealogies of Judah, named among the sons born to Caleb through his concubine Maacah.

A Son of Caleb

The Chronicler lists Sheber within the household of Caleb, attached to the line that runs through Maacah: "Maacah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah" (1 Chr 2:48). Nothing further is said of him; the name surfaces only to record his place in this branch of Caleb's descendants.
