Shelomi

Shelomi is known only as the father of the prince chosen to represent the tribe of Asher in the apportionment of the land.

Father of Ahihud

When Yahweh designates a leader from each tribe to oversee the inheritance west of the Jordan, the Asherite delegate is identified by his father: "And of the tribe of the sons of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi" (Num 34:27). Shelomi himself does not act in the narrative; the verse fixes him in the genealogy of the tribal leadership at the moment Israel prepares to receive the land.
