Sheresh

Sheresh is a descendant of Manasseh through Machir, named once in the Chronicler's genealogy.

Son of Machir

The genealogy of Manasseh's line places Sheresh as the brother of Peresh: "And Maacah the wife of Machir bore a son, and she named him Peresh; and the name of his brother was Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Rakem" (1Ch 7:16). The notice fixes him at three generations from Manasseh — Manasseh, Machir, and Machir's son Sheresh — and identifies his sons as Ulam and Rakem.
