Shilhim

Shilhim is one of the southern towns counted in the tribal allotment of Judah. Scripture names it once, in the closing summation of Judah's southernmost cities.

A Town in Judah's South

The place appears in the verse that totals out Judah's southern towns: "and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and En-rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages" (Josh 15:32). Shilhim sits inside the tally of twenty-nine cities with their dependent villages. The text gives no narrative around it — only its name in the list and its inclusion in the count.
