Shimeon
Shimeon is one of the men in Ezra's list who had taken a foreign wife and, in the reform that followed, put her away.
In the Roll of Those Who Put Away Foreign Wives
Shimeon is named among the sons of Harim in the closing register of Ezra's marriage reform: "And [of] the sons of Harim: Eliezer, Isshijah, Malchijah, Shemaiah, Shimeon," (Ezra 10:31). His place in the list is the whole of what scripture says of him — a son of Harim, counted with the others of that family who, under Ezra's leading, separated themselves from the marriages they had contracted with the surrounding peoples.
