Shobek

Shobek is named once in scripture, in the list of leaders who set their seal to the covenant Nehemiah brought before the assembly after the return from exile.

A signer of the covenant

In the long roll of those who pledged themselves to walk in Yahweh's law, Shobek's name stands among the chiefs of the people:

Hallohesh, Pilha, Shobek, (Ne 10:24)

Nothing more is said of him. The verse identifies him only as one of the heads of the community who bound himself by oath to the renewed covenant.
