Shoham

Shoham is named once in scripture, listed among the Merarite Levites in David's organization of the priestly courses.

A son of Merari

The Chronicler's roster of the Levitical houses places Shoham among the descendants of Merari through Jaaziah:

The sons of Merari: of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri. (1Ch 24:27)

The verse fixes his place among the Levites set apart for service at the sanctuary. Nothing further is reported about him.
