Sodi

Sodi is named once in scripture, in the roster of tribal representatives Moses sent out to scout the land of Canaan. He is identified only as the father of Zebulun's representative.

A Man of Zebulun

The list of the twelve scouts gives Zebulun's man with his patronymic: "Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi" (Num 13:10). Sodi himself does not act in the narrative; his name supplies Gaddiel's lineage and fixes him as a Zebulunite within the symmetrical one-per-tribe selection that Moses makes at Yahweh's command.
