Sorek
Sorek is a valley named once in scripture, the setting where Samson's last attachment unfolds.
The Valley of Sorek
After Samson's escape from Gaza, the narrative moves on to a new entanglement: "And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah" (Jud 16:4). The valley is identified only by name, and its significance in the text is that it locates Delilah, through whom the Philistine lords reach Samson.
