Stachys

Stachys is named once in scripture, in the chain of personal greetings closing Paul's letter to the Romans.

A Beloved at Rome

Paul's greeting list pairs Stachys with another worker: "Greet Urbanus our coworker in Christ, and Stachys my beloved" (Ro 16:9). The address "my beloved" sets him apart with affection but supplies no further detail; he is otherwise undescribed.
