Suspicion

Suspicion in scripture is the unfounded mistrust that ripens into false accusation — the disposition that lays the groundwork for malicious charges, conspiracy, evil speaking, and false witness, illustrated in the many narratives where the innocent are wrongly indicted by enemies, kinsmen, or rulers.
