Taverns

Taverns names the stopping point on the Appian Way south of Rome — the Three Taverns — where Roman believers came out to meet Paul as he traveled under guard toward the capital. The site marks one of two welcome parties (with the Forum of Appius) that strengthened the apostle on the final stage of his approach to Rome.
