Tebah
Tebah is named once in the UPDV — as the firstborn of the four sons borne to Abraham's brother Nahor by his concubine Reumah, in the family report brought to Abraham at the close of the Akedah chapter.
A Son of Nahor by Reumah
The notice belongs to the family update sent back to Abraham in Canaan after the binding of Isaac. The opening framing reaches Abraham's hearing first: "And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Look, Milcah, she also has borne sons to your brother Nahor" (Ge 22:20). The Milcah-line that follows runs to eight sons and ends with the sum: "These eight did Milcah bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother" (Ge 22:23). The text then opens a separate count for the children Nahor had by his concubine, and Tebah heads that list: "And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she also bore Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maacah" (Ge 22:24). Tebah is named only here. The text gives him a father (Nahor), a mother (Reumah), three brothers, and an uncle (Abraham), and nothing more.
