Tehinnah
Tehinnah is named once in scripture, within the Judahite genealogies of Chronicles. He stands in a chain of names linked to a place rather than to a wider story.
A Son of Eshton
The notice makes Tehinnah a son of Eshton and identifies him as a father by way of a town: "And Eshton begot Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These are the men of Recah" (1Ch 4:12). The title "father of Ir-nahash" marks him as the founder or progenitor associated with that settlement. No further deeds are recorded.
