Telaim

Telaim appears once in scripture, as the place where Saul mustered Israel before the campaign against Amalek.

The Muster Before Amalek

After the prophetic charge through Samuel to strike Amalek (1Sa 15:1-3), the army is gathered at this site: "And Saul summoned the people, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah" (1Sa 15:4). The verse fixes Telaim as the staging ground where the count is taken; from there Saul advances to the city of Amalek and lays wait in the valley (1Sa 15:5). The location is named only at this muster and is otherwise undescribed.
