Temanite

Temanite is the gentilic of Teman, applied both to early Edomite chiefs in the line of Eliphaz and most prominently to Eliphaz the Temanite, the senior of Job's three companions and a voice in the dialogue. The form also marks the homeland of one of the early kings of Edom, whose realm bordered the southern wilderness associated with the prophetic word of Yahweh.
