Thamah
Thamah (also spelled Tamah, and rendered Temah in the UPDV) is the head of a family of Nethinim — temple servants — whose descendants returned from Babylon under Zerubbabel. The name appears only in the two parallel post-exilic registers.
A Nethinim Family Among the Returnees
In Ezra's roster, the family stands among the Nethinim: "the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah," (Ezr 2:53). Nehemiah's parallel list preserves the same entry verbatim: "the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah," (Ne 7:55).
