Thank Offerings
A thank offering is the form of peace offering brought as an act of grateful acknowledgement for deliverance, answered prayer, or unbidden mercy, presented at the sanctuary with unleavened cakes mingled with oil, anointed wafers, and cakes of leavened bread, and eaten on the day it is offered. Within the wider system of sacrifices it stands alongside the votive and the freewill offering as one of the three peace-offering categories, marking gratitude rather than petition or vow.
