Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving in scripture covers two overlapping movements: the offered acknowledgement of what Yahweh has done — songs at the sea, at the ark's arrival, in the temple courts, and around the throne — and the commanded posture of gratitude that runs through every meal, prayer, congregational gathering, and quiet act of obedience. The Old Testament locates it inside the sacrificial system and the Psalter; the apostolic letters keep the language of sacrifice but route it through Christ to the Father.
