Togarmah
Togarmah is named in the Table of Nations as a son of Gomer and reappears in the Tyre and Gog oracles as a northern people supplying horses and joining the northern coalition.
Son of Gomer
The genealogy of the sons of Japheth lists Togarmah third among Gomer's sons: "And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah" (Gen 10:3). The Chronicler's parallel matches it with a small spelling shift in the second name: "And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah" (1Chr 1:6).
The House of Togarmah in the Tyre Oracle
In the catalog of Tyre's trading partners the house of Togarmah furnishes the horse-cargo: "They of the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses and warhorses and mules" (Ezek 27:14).
Togarmah in the Gog Coalition
In the Gog oracle, the house of Togarmah is listed among the northern peoples gathered to the assault: "Gomer, and all his hordes; the house of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north, and all his hordes; even many peoples with you" (Ezek 38:6).
