Ulla
Ulla is named once in scripture, inside the genealogy of Asher in 1 Chronicles. He is a head of family within the tribe.
A Father in the House of Asher
The Chronicler's roster of Asher's families closes with two sets of sons. The first set names Jether: "And the sons of Jether: Jephunneh, and Pispa, and Ara" (1 Chr 7:38). The next line names Ulla: "And the sons of Ulla: Arah, and Hanniel, and Rizia" (1 Chr 7:39). The summary that follows places the whole list inside Asher's military genealogy: "All these were the sons of Asher, heads of the fathers' houses, choice and mighty men of valor, chief of the princes. And the number of them reckoned by genealogy for service in war was twenty and six thousand men" (1 Chr 7:40).
Ulla therefore appears as one of the heads of fathers' houses within Asher, the head of a three-son family, counted in the tribe's register of fighting men. The text gives no further narrative; the genealogy is the entire mention.
