Uzzen-sheerah

Uzzen-sheerah is named once, in the Ephraimite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 7, as one of the towns built by Sheerah, daughter of Beriah. The Chronicler records: "And his daughter was Sheerah, who built Beth-horon the nether and the upper, and Uzzen-sheerah" (1Ch 7:24). The name is paired with hers — "the ear of Sheerah" — and is the only one of the three towns in the verse not otherwise mentioned in scripture.
